Participant Waiver

I, the undersigned participant, understand and acknowledge that participation in the NYC

Scavenger Hunt and related activities (including travel by limousine, walking, running,

interacting with public spaces, and any other event activities) involves inherent risks. These risks

include, but are not limited to: traffic accidents, sudden stops, sharp turns, interaction with

other vehicles or pedestrians, slips, trips, falls, weather conditions, equipment failure, and

interaction with other participants or the public. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for all

such risks of injury, illness, loss, or damage, whether caused by negligence of the driver,

company, or otherwise.

In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold

harmless Defined Marketing, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates

from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for injury, disability, death,

property damage, or other loss that may result from my participation, to the fullest extent

permitted by law.

This release does not apply to claims resulting from gross negligence, reckless conduct, or

intentional acts as defined under New York law.

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Defined Marketing from any loss, liability,

damage, or costs (including attorneys’ fees) that arise from my participation in the event,

including but not limited to claims caused by my own conduct, negligence, or violation of

event rules.

I certify that I am physically fit to participate and have not been advised otherwise by a

qualified medical professional. I authorize Defined Marketing to obtain emergency medical

treatment on my behalf if necessary and agree that I am solely responsible for any related costs.

I agree to follow all safety instructions from the driver or company representatives, including

but not limited to remaining seated while the vehicle is in motion, not consuming alcohol

under the legal drinking age, and refraining from illegal or disruptive behavior. I understand

that violation of these rules may result in immediate removal without refund.

I confirm I am of legal drinking age in New York State (21+). I accept full responsibility for my

own consumption and behavior. I will not bring or use illegal substances.

I understand that Defined Marketing is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items

during the event.

By signing this waiver, I grant permission for Defined Marketing to use photos or videos taken

during the event for promotional purposes.

I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms. I am signing it freely and voluntarily and

intend my signature to be a complete release of all liability as allowed by law.
